With all the on-again and off-again restrictions in place, it doesn’t seem like we would be hitting a festival or concert soon. So it’s no surprise that virtual events have taken the world by storm. Not only are they fun and interactive, but they also offer an escape. It’s no different with this year’s Toronto Caribbean Carnival.
Titled ‘First Lap: Keeping the Carnival Alive’, the digital series is set to preview the annual summer festival. It is presented by the Carnival in partnership with Carib Beer and Wack Radio. With the preview, you can expect all that the carnival has to offer. This includes stunning costume displays, enchanting steelpan, along with calypso and reggae music.

Need another reason to be excited? There will be live performances by Macomere FIFI, David Rudder, Connector and so many others. And that’s not all. Costumed models from Louis Saldenah Mas K Club, Carnival Nationz and Toronto Revellers are going to be a part of the event as well.
This event is going to be broadcast live on 11th April at 7pm, on the Toronto Caribbean Carnival website. You can also catch it live on Facebook and WACK Radio’s YouTube channel.
