Wednesday, March 20 is Macaron Day, and Nadège shops will celebrate by donating 50% of all macaron sales to Meal Exchange – a charity that engages youth to act locally to create a sustainable food system in their community. This is the third year in a row that Nadège is partnering with a charitable organization on a day where they sell thousands of macarons. In 2011, Nadège launched Macaron Day, raising over $4,000 to benefit victims of the Japanese tsunami through Red Cross Japan. Last year their proceeds went to support the Children’s Breakfast Club.
“I am proud to be supporting Meal Exchange on Macaron Day,” says Chef Nadège Nourian. “It’s very important for me to give back to the community. Year after year we have fun on this special day and 2013 will be no different.”
