The creative ideas are flowing all throughout the city, and now that restrictions are easing, we can finally do one of the best things: attend concerts. Live music brings such good vibes and you can always tell that the crowd is feeling every minute of it! Ya remember OVO Fest? I miss it too.
I’m happy to say that those days will soon be over with the announcement of outdoor concert venue, Crowsnest Corner opening at the popular East-End Dundas & Carlaw intersection. If you’re a Toronto artist and want to finally showcase your music, this is the place!
Crowsnest Corner is joining the already known Crow’s Theatre on Carlaw Avenue. At Crow’s Theatre you can find Streetcar Crowsnest, a dedicated performance space for theatre-goers and Gare De L’Est, a authentic, modern French brasserie.
Who They’re Looking For
Crowsnest Corner is looking for local solos, duos, and trios, in genres including but not limited to jazz, bluegrass, folk, classical, blues, R&B, soul, country, reggae, soft-pop-rock, different types of interesting and eclectic musical artists and arrangements. They’re looking for anyone that can bring their music to the lively east-end crowd!
How It’ll Work
Each set will run on specific days starting at 8 p.m. and will approximately be 45 minutes per performer, for a total of 2 sets per night. They’re offering each group $300-$600 for each evening’s performance. Noise must be kept at a manageable level.
