With the new year well underway, the TTC seems not to have embraced the “new year, new me” mindset. There are still delays and construction plans and general changes aplenty, which could affect passengers’ commutes to and from their weekend plans. Read on to find out all of the changes on TTC routes across the city this weekend, from January 19th to 22nd.
To begin with, the TTC planned closure of Line 1 stops from Sheppard-Yonge to Eglinton stations, shutting them down on January 21st and 22nd. But, that planned closure has since been cancelled, and the route will continue as normal.
There’s also a temporary route change on the 336 Finch West night bus, with the TTC adjusting the path to accommodate construction. According to the alert on the website, “stops on John Garland Boulevard between Humber College Boulevard and Finch Avenue West, and on Finch Avenue West between John Garland Boulevard and Martin Grove Road will not be served.” Instead, the bus will divert both ways “divert both ways via Finch Avenue West, Martin Grove Road, John Garland Boulevard, Humber College Boulevard.” The route is affected only for a short time, between January 16th to 20th.
The TTC is also adjusting the 91 Woodbine Route. From January 16th to February 28th, northbound stops between Teak Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East, on Teak Avenue and Carnforth Road, will not be served. The change accommodates the City of Toronto flood protection. Temporarily, the bus diverts northbound via Wyndcliff Crescent, Sloane Avenue, Victoria Park Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East.
