With tons of filming and construction going on across the city, the TTC is almost always affected. Between reroutes, road closures and track maintenance, there is almost always something to keep track of in the public transit world. Don’t be caught off guard or show up late to your activities this weekend, and plan ahead if you’re taking public transit.
These TTC routes will experience delays
The Yonge-University line 1 will experience delays as it will be operating with a single track from Wilson Station to Lawrence West Station. This means that it will be using the southbound track for both north and south bound trains, which could potentially cause some delays. It also means subway riders may end up on the opposite side of the platform than usual.
As a result of closures, the 506 Carlton streetcars won’t operate on College Street between Ossington Avenue and Bay Street this weekend. Instead, they’ll reroute both ways via Ossington Avenue, Dundas Street and Bay Street. Replacement buses with the label 506C label will run between Ossington Station and Castle Frank Station via Ossington Avenue, with stops on Harbord Street, Hoskin Avenue, Queen’s Park, University Avenue, Gerrard Street and Parliament Street.
To accommodate a Remembrance Day event, the 19 Bay bus will experience a temporary change, and stops on Bay Street between Dundas Street West and Richmond Street West, as well as northbound stops on Bay Street between Richmond Street West and Adelaide Street West will not in service on November 11. Instead, it will operate on a loop, running to Church Street from Dundas Street and then returning to Bay via Richmond and Adelaide.
