We’re not sure about you, but the chilly days of winter have us hankering for all things comfort food. So when we heard that one of our favourite spots, Joe Fortes Seafood and Chop House, was introducing diner classics to their menu we were thrilled.
As of next week, they’ve got a handful of tasty reasons to head over and tuck into some quality lunch bites with the introduction of their Joe’s Diner Classics (new to the menu and available from March 3rd to March 28th).
For a limited time, you can satisfy your midday cravings with classics like Baked Mac and Cheese (with a rich and decadent cream sauce, buttered bread crumbs and house baked biscuit).
Or dig into classic southern fare and try an order of Fried Chicken served with sausage gravy, mashed potatoes and coleslaw.
We definitely can’t say no to biting into their Cheeseburger… It’s a house-made beef patty served on a fresh baked bun with all the fixings. All three entrees are available for $9.95 Monday to Friday, at lunch only.
In addition to these special features, Joe Fortes is also rolling out a limited time offer: 3-course Joe’s Dinner Deal ($38, from Sunday through Thursday).
Choose from their signature Lobster Bisque or Shrimp Ceviche and then select from mains like their 7oz Sirloin with green peppercorn sauce, Pan Roasted Chicken Breast, or Artichoke Ravioli.
Don’t forget to leave room for dessert – it’s the best part in our books (well, next to one of their signature cocktails). Crème Brulee with house-made biscotti or decadent Tiramisu mark a culinary grand finale.
Why do we like Joe Fortes? Simply put, it’s a trusted staple within Vancouver’s ever-changing dining scene. It has established itself as a favourite go-to haunt for locals and returning visitors alike, and for good reason. For more than 27 years, their reputation for quality service, amazing atmosphere and top-notch cuisine has warranted the continuous positive buzz.
Oh, and then there’s Frenchy. If you don’t know who we’re talking about and have yet to meet him… you’re definitely missing out.
