We’re always up for showing support for worthy causes taking place around YVR, especially those that involve two of our favourite things: dressing down for a day at the office and barbecued-goodness off the grill.
Vancouver’s Glowbal Group of restaurants is bringing both together with the return of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation Jeans Day BBQ later this week.
This Thursday, April 24th ditch your local lunch go-to and head down to the Vancouver Art Gallery for an al fresco lunch at the Georgia Street Plaza. For only $10 you’ll score yourself a huge plate of food courtesy of The Glowbal Group’s team of chefs – with all proceeds going directly back to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
To tempt your appetite, Glowbal Group Collection will once again be offering up a seriously tasty selection of bites, including…
– Crispy Porchetta Sandwiches on housemade hoagie buns with chimichurri sauce, and jicama and carrot slaw
– Roasted Vegetable Wraps with bell peppers, zucchini, goat cheese, and pesto aioli
Each selection comes with a choice of either a quinoa salad (blended red and white quinoa, carrots, celery, and orange vinaigrette) or potato salad (with rosemary, lemon zest and housemade Dijon mustard vinaigrette). Duso’s will also be on-hand serving up sides of their signature zesty bean salad.
To liven things up a bit more, look for entertainment and DJs on-site to add to the festive fundraising atmosphere before heading back to the desk feeling fully satiated.
