Vv Magazine’s Danica Jeffery fills you in on how to get your home renovated (and be a star!) on Love It or List It Vancouver. Andy Warhol should have predicted this: in the future, we will all be reality stars…
If you’re in the market to make a change starting in the New Year, a stint on popular home renovation cum real estate show, Love It or List It Vancouver, might be just the ticket to making that resolution. Now entering its third season on the W Network, Love It or List It is set to showcase creative solutions found for families struggling with homes that no longer suit their needs.
Hosted by the dynamic duo, design expert Jillian Harris and West Coast realtor Todd Talbot, Love It or List It Vancouver will once again set out to assist frustrated homeowners with dysfunctional homes the option of either undergoing a full ‘love it’ style reno – or chance to ditch their digs in favour of a brand new space as they ‘list it.’
Always entertaining, Harris and West consistently butt heads throughout the show when faced with their own take on each problematic property. We love the unscripted ‘friendly banter’ that takes over the show as a result of the hosts being playfully pitted against each other in hopes of wooing featured homeowners their way.
We heard word that the production team behind Love It or List It Vancouver is on the hunt for applicants as we speak, so put down your pen and jump online to apply for a chance at your own 15 minutes of home design fame.
The show, which incorporates real estate and design, is set to air with new episodes starting January 5, 2015 and is seeking applicants who are facing unworkable scenarios such as closed-in layouts, hideous bathrooms, outdated kitchens, and unfinished basements.
Here’s the clincher: in order to be considered, homeowners must be a dynamic duo of their own (i.e. couples, friends, parent and child) and live within a one-hour driving distance from Vancouver. Oh, and if you’re serious, you’ll also have to be ready for a full-on renovation that can last up to five weeks. Don’t worry, it’ll be worth it.
