Publicist and creative consultant Carine Redmond has worked for some of the biggest names in entertainment as well as renowned national and global lifestyle brands. Although the Vancouver-based media relations guru splits her time between Van City and Los Angeles, she actually grew up in Ottawa and did her studies at McGill University in Montreal. She credits growing up with Dylan McKay and Jordan Catalano in her living room as her early training in the media; 90210 and My So-Called Life still play on heavy rotation on her TV.

Finish this sentence: I love Vancouver because…
…it is great in the summer. I still haven’t gotten used to all the rain and tend to hide away in the winter, but as soon as it turns warm you can find me at Kits beach and pool.
What are three things you simply cannot live without?
Rag & Bone boyfriend jeans, Friday Night Lights, and My Daily Horoscope app for iPhone.
What’s your favourite restaurant and why?
In Vancouver, it depends on the occasion, but I love Hawksworth for the ambiance and The Boathouse Restaurant in Kits for the view – especially in the summer. The Flying Pig in Gastown is always good for happy hour.
What’s your favourite drink or cocktail and where do you go to get it?
Well, I always like a glass of wine. If I’m in the mood for a cocktail, the 1927 Lobby Lounge at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia has a Hotel Georgia Cocktail and a Canadian Old Fashioned that I love.
