In case you haven’t heard, TEDx is slated to return to Vancouver later this fall after a brief hiatus in 2013. Now back and celebrating its 5th edition on October 18th, TEDxVancouver is set to shake up the conversation and recently released the second block of speakers for the event set to take over the Queen Elizabeth Theatre – and we’ve got the scoop…
Having already announced a stellar first set of speakers (Victor Chan, Jay Demerit and Treana Peake), lucky attendees to this event have even more inspired talks to look forward to. Last week it was announced that the likes of Charles Montgomery (the award-winning author of Happy City), Jennifer Gardy and Peter Gregson (DNA Maestros), and Jessica O’Reilly (sexologist and PlayboyTV host) have been added to the conversational mix.
TEDxVancouver will push audiences to lean into the precipice of big ideas with this year’s theme: TILT. TILT will focus on exploring and conquering the idea that our limits are merely illusions and invite the audience to conquer these illusions in order to unleash inner potential. TEDx-goers can expect an inspiring, thought-provoking program of talks that will awaken curiosity and shift everyday perspectives.
In the words of TEDxVancouver president, Jordan Kallman, “TEDxVancouver 2014 is about inspiring different outcomes. Above and beyond an incredible lineup of speakers, we are planning on maximizing the social interaction and networking experience for attendees. Through unique breakout areas and a few surprises that will be revealed the day of the event, attendees will have the chance to participate in a deeper level of community engagement.”
