28th Annual Festival of Trees
November 20 – January 5
The 28th Annual Festival of Trees will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Pacific Centre Mall. Trees are on display from November 20 until January 5, 2015. Check it out and show your support for BC Children’s Hospital by making a donation and vote for your favourite tree (there are more than 40 to choose from).

Canyon Lights
November 29 – January 3
Canyon Lights at the Capilano Suspension Bridge is definitely worth checking out when paying a visit to the North Shore. This annual holiday attraction features the world’s tallest living Christmas tree, a forest full of twinkling lights, a new Winter Pavilion, scavenger hunts, gingerbread-cookie decorating, spiked hot chocolate, and more that’ll get you in the festive spirit. Bonus: it’s for a great cause; partial proceeds will be going to a handful of local charities.
8th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
December 5
This Friday, pop by the 8th annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Jack Poole Plaza. This year’s will be bigger and better than ever — the tree weighs in at nearly 8,000 lb, is 50 feet high, and is decorated with 64,700 lights.
Christmas With The Bach Choir
December 7
Get in the festive spirit at Christmas with the Bach Choir on Sunday, December 7, at 2pm at the Orpheum Theatre. More than 400 glorious voices from all levels of the Bach Choir family — from the tiny Piccolo Choir (ages 5-7) to the award-winning symphonic adult choir — gather together for an afternoon concert of traditional and modern carols, with music direction by Leslie Dala and Marisa Gaetanne.

Festival Of Lights
December 10 – January 4
Festival of Lights at VanDusen Botanical Garden is back and ready to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Stroll through the gardens and take in more than a million lights adorning the trees. They’ll have a Candy Cane Express, Scandinavian gnome performances, a pop-up café serving festive bites, a Lego scene, and more.
Peak Of Christmas
Until December 24
The Peak of Christmas celebration is officially back, and runs until December 24 at the top of Grouse Mountain. Head up via the gondola, and find yourself in a winter wonderland that Santa would definitely approve of. They’ve got ice-skating, snowshoeing, caroling, a gingerbread house display, sleigh rides, and more.
