If you haven’t already splurged and nabbed your ticket to this coming Saturday’s “A Year in a Night” Gala in support of Zajac Nights, well then… what are you waiting for? After the enormous success of its inaugural event last year (that saw well over 500 guests in attendance), this year’s event promises to bank upon that awesome surge (with closer to 800 or more revelers expected).
The party takes place at the prestigious Vancouver Club, one of YVR’s oldest private members clubs that has a rich tapestry of history. The event’s “A Year in a Night” theme promises an added wow factor, with unique themes taking over each room of the multi-floored club to emulate specific annual celebrations – with no expense spared.
Ring in 2014 again and again as you watch the ball drop every hour on the hour in the New Year’s Eve Ballroom, or grab someone special and escape to the Valentine’s Day Lounge and indulge yourselves in the chocolate fountain. If you’re feeling lucky, unleash your inner Irish charm and climb up to the St. Paddy’s Day room on the club’s third floor and knock back a few pints of Guinness with new friends. All told, there are a half-dozen different holidays to celebrate in six different rooms, with a Mardi Gras rooftop experience for VIP guests.
Hungry for more details? Well, how about a little sampling from the menu of themed offerings (and don’t forget about the free bar)…
– The Winter Wonderland Room will feature bites like caramel popcorn and turkey sliders with cranberry mayo alongside an Absolut Elyx ice luge and special winter-themed cocktails to warm you up
– Celebrate Canada Day with (what else?) a Caesar at the Absolut Caesar bar, then grab a pint of Canadian, dig into corn bread, bbq grub, smoked salmon and more
– Take a tour of the dessert buffet and you’ll be in heaven with confections galore: macarons, cinnamon hearts, champagne truffles, cookies, doughnuts, cupcakes, and a pink chocolate fountain, to name just a few
– Revisit NYE and grab a special gin-blended cocktail before heading up to the Mardi Gras VIP rooftop patio (if you manage to score those creds for the night) where they’ll be serving up their own signature cocktail (bourbon-style) alongside nitrogen prawns with roasted garlic and rooftop herbs, fresh fried oysters, muffelatta, provolone, and more treats
All benefits from this extravagant night will go directly back to the Zajac Ranch for Children, a medical summer camp for children with chronic, life threatening and/or debilitating conditions.
Tickets can be purchased for $150.00 – so don’t delay, and start planning your outfit now!
