Get your glow sticks and Deadmau5 helmets ready people, because VELD is bringing the bass back to Toronto for another year. Setting up shop in Downsview Park, this two-day EDM festival is bringing in some of the biggest names in the scene. We know that festival lineups are always jam-packed with numerous artists and events, so here are five acts you definitely want to take the time to see…
Deadmau5
Reppin’ Niagara Falls, this Canadian producer had a serious hand in bringing electronic music to the masses. Catch him on the second day of the festival where he’ll be adorned in full ‘mau5’ regalia (sans Kat Von D, though).
Kaskade
Not to be confused with the dishwashing detergent, Kaskade has quickly become a household name in the electronic music scene. Rising to prominence with songs such as ‘I Remember’, he’ll definitely have the crowd dancing when he performs on the opening day of the festival.

Steve Aoki
Anywhere this man goes, a party is sure to follow. As the head of his own label, Steve collaborates with other EDM artists to bring bangers that can be heard in venues around the world. Catch him and his trademark hair on day one of the festivities.
Steve Agnello
Apparently the name Steve is synonymous with good music, or VELD is very fond of the name. The former Swedish House Mafia member and industry veteran behind “Show Me Love,” the 90’s club classic that we all shamelessly sing along to, is bringing some European flair to day two of the festival.
Madeon
With a festival packed with big names, it’s good to see there is room for up and coming artists. Madeon is a 19-year-old French producer who came to fame thanks to YouTube and is making major industry waves despite his tender age. He’s signed to Deadmau5’s Mau5trap label, so you know he’s got the musical goods.
