Last Wednesday marked the official launch of View the Vibe in Vancouver, and what a night it was! I have been very excited about getting View the Vibe into this beautiful city filled with amazing restaurants and people. When I first stepped into the city six months ago, I went to “explore” and knew right away that View the Vibe needed to take the West Coast leap and start beautifying the city’s restaurants with our movie trailer style videos. Since then, we have signed up Hawksworth, Blue Water Café, The Parlour and Vij’s and are officially partnered with Where.ca.
Held at Dockside Restaurant on Granville Island (video coming soon), the venue was stunning with views of the city, water and boats at the docks. Guests were served pineapple mojitos, fresh seafood, and shucked oysters while passed hors d’oeuvres included smoked salmon crostini, beef carpaccio, and sumptuous chili calamari. Like any View the Vibe party we’ve ever thrown, guests had a blast and stayed all night – yeah… we had to extend our time parameters, again. (Why don’t we just plan for four hour parties?!) The turnout was phenomenal and I loved meeting everyone that came out to support us – even though they had no idea who we were! That said, after my speech and speaking with many, I felt the welcoming energy from the room and am excited for things to come in Vancouver.
As I explained to our guests, we are not in Vancouver to compete – we create beautiful high quality videos for restaurants that showcase the overall vibe from food to atmosphere to décor to the guests, and we share them with as many online resources as will have them. The idea is for restaurants to have a tool that showcases them as best as possible but also helps them increase the number of guests that pass through their doors. It is a proven fact that 12% of people who watch a video will make an immediate purchase decision on the product featured in it. Pictures are worth 1,000 words… video is worth 1 million. So why not create a video and maximize your marketing dollars?
The goal of our launch party was to get to know people and spread our View the Vibe message. I think our mission was accomplished. Thank you to all who attended and who also are helping spread our message! Check out a few articles already released by…
