After a host of meetings in Little Italy on a gorgeous sunny day, we popped down to Dundas West’s Little Portugal for a fantastic dinner at Lisbon by Night, one of Toronto’s best hidden gems. We were thrilled to enjoy our dinner with Adelia Mejdoubi, the General Manager and woman behind this authentic Portuguese eatery. Wine in hand (they have a $5 corkage fee on Wednesdays and Thursdays), we sat at a beautifully decorated table in the corner of the two-level restaurant where we had an incredibly beautiful view of downtown Cityplace from the West.
Listening to Adelia and her fantastic stories, we dined on some of the city’s best seafood and meat platters (which could feed a whole village) all so fresh and delicious. Take a look at what a wicked time we had, and why we had to roll ourselves home. After feasting on these platters though, it’s all we can do but to go back tonight. Great food and great conversation in a fun and fantastic setting… it was truly a spectacle at Lisbon by Night.
On a side note, we had planned to try the Fish Rodizio (on Wednesdays and Thursdays, guests enjoy “all you can eat” fish for $20), but Adelia treated us to her favourite menu items instead. That said, we’re going back for the Fish Rodizio soon – maybe even tonight!
