We get it: you’re busy. With so many things happening in Toronto every week, let alone every month, things can get a little overwhelming when planning your social calendar. Let’s keep it simple. Each month, Vv Magazine collects the top events in Toronto so that you know what you absolutely must attend. The rest, as they say, is noise.
January is over and February has begun and while we’ve become dependent on popping vitamin D’s, the month of love has us feeling all rosy despite the lack of sun. Single, dating or in a relationship, it’s hard not to get in a good mood, cuz well, Valentine’s Day chocolates always taste good, even if they’re from yourself to yourself. So brave the corporate Holiday hubbub and hit up these events with your S.O. or Pal-entine, because it’s time to lighten up and get out of that winter funk. Take a look at the top February events in Toronto below:
The Addisons Annual Big Game Party

Super Bowl Sunday is right around the corner and The Addisons Residence invites you to get in on the action, action being downing drinks and unlimited snacks by The Good Son Restaurant. Wear your best game face and prepare to cheer your team on when the tailgate party starts at 3:00 pm with kickoff at 6:30 pm! To end the day there will be one grand prize winner but if you’re truly serious about the game don’t leave the libations up to fate, bottle service packages are also available. Cheese, Chocolate & Wine Tasting
February 10
Impress your Valentine slightly early this year at The Pantry Fine Cheese’s Cheese, Chocolate and Wine Tasting! Hooking Up with Second City
Starting February 13
The Second City knows a thing or two about heating things up – they’ve been poking fun of relationships for more than 50 years. Whether it’s missed connections, girls night out adventures, or romps in the sack gone wrong, no leaf is left unturned. The sassy satire, dubbed “Hooking Up with Second City,” is a mix of modern romance, rancor and everything in between. It will definitely make you feel like your own relationship is slightly more “normal.” Tickets start at $26, with dinner packages available.
VDay Flower Market
February 14
It’s Valentine’s Day and love (plus a whole lotta flowers) is in the air. The Drake Hotel lobby will be transformed into a mini Toronto Flower Market to mark the special occasion and save the asses of lazy boyfriends who forgot to buy something. Starting at 3 pm, White Oak will be offering locally-grown, seasonal blooms to create dramatic bouquets. So head on over and buy an arrangement, then thank us later when your S.O. is beaming ear to ear – you can never really go wrong with flowers.

The chilly festival will be back in Bloor-Yorkville for its 17th year, but it’s going to be an even bigger and better celebration as Canada is turning the big one-fifty! That being said, there’s no room for subtleties – 20,000 lbs of ice will be transformed into visually stunning sculptures including Mounties, an iconic Maple Leaf and more.
