The US isn’t short of an abundance of beautiful parks. In fact, there are 61 national parks at your disposal, each one of them so unique, you’ll want to hop in an RV, drive around, and stay awhile. Home to some of these gorgeous wonders is Utah. From the red rock canyon of Zion to the sandstone fins of Arches, a trip in and around Salt Lake City won’t disappoint. Here’s what you’d have to look forward to.

Places to Go

Once you have decided which type of RV to hit the road to Salt Lake City with, it’s time to decide where you’ll take it. With many national parks around Salt Lake City, you have plenty of options. Whether you decide to seek the serenity of Yellowstone or the adventure of Great Tetons, you’ll get your fill of scenery and outdoor activity.

Things to Do

Outdoor Activities

National Parks are geared for people just like you, the RV roadtripper, the adventurous spirit. Being that, you may be wondering what exactly these parks have to offer to keep you adventuring. Some of the activities that’ll fill your days and feed your spirit include:

  • Hiking
  • Kayaking
  • Climbing
  • Stargazing
  • Rafting
  • Camping

What you choose to do will obviously depend on your fitness level and what equipment you have, but rangers are around to help and equipment is typically available for hire. When you’re done for the day, you have the luxury of heading back to your RV and enjoying a comfortable night’s sleep in one of the numerous Utah RV Parks and get ready for the adventure and site-seeing ahead.

Photography

If you are a professional, amateur, or aspiring photographer, the Salt Lake scenery is sure to spark inspiration. Even if you’re not quite the phototaker, you will be because taking photos of the gorgeous landscape is certainly hard to resist. And who knows? If your trip doesn’t convince you to pick up photography as a new hobby, at least you’ll have photos that capture fond memories of your trip.  National parks aren’t just trees and sky. There is plenty to be photographically captured as you explore and even more to be seen.

Plenty to See

The national parks around Salt Lake City aren’t just for those who want to walk and hike. If that type of activity isn’t for you, take a drive in your RV. Though there is plenty to see on foot, there is just as much beauty to be taken in on a scenic drive.

Scenic Drives

The great thing about visiting national parks is that they are open to all which means there are plenty of roads that wind through them. This gives you the chance to take in the beautiful scenery from the comfort of your vehicle. Your RV is the ultimate traveling tool for this kind of trip. You’ll have everything with you that you could want and need while driving for hours, taking in all the national parkland has to offer. When you’re tired and have seen enough, there are many campsites you can pull up into for the night, or even just for a rest and a refuel.

Feeling adventurous and want to keep driving? You can take the RV through all the different national parks around Salt Lake City. With numerous places to be and sites to see all around the Salt Lake City area, there’s no stopping the adventure. Start in once place and head to another. See what happens in between. An RV allows you the safety and spontaneity you need to see all you want to see. With people to help and campsites abounding, you have the freedom to just keep driving. You may find that the beauty around you will do more for you than you think.

Stress Relief

Stress can very quickly and easily build up in us. Going unnoticed, it can start to cause health issues, both mental and physical. Chronic stress can lead to depression, anxiety, heart problems, high blood pressure, and much more. It’s a potentially fatal condition that should be treated promptly. Now we’re not saying visiting a national park is a cure-all, but the health benefits of it should not go undiscussed.

Getting away from the stresses of your daily life, whether it be your workload, a relationship, or daily stresses, is sure to offer some relief. Taking some time away, taking an RV to a stunning national park, you can reset your thinking and readjust your mind. You may just get a moment of clarity or peace, that you’ve been looking for. Nature has a special way of doing this.  You might even find that, when you are in your own space, or in a comfortable space with a loved one, you can refocus on the issues that are causing you this stress and come up with a solution. Even if you can’t, your stress levels will fall due to being in such a peaceful, comfortable spot, and when you return to ‘real-life’, you’ll be much more able to cope with everything going on around you.

Ready to Head to Salt Lake?

If you’re looking for adventure, beauty, stress relief, or anything in between, the national parks of Utah got you covered. Rent an RV and get packing. Nature is waiting.
