The other night, we took a li’l trip over on King West to the newly-opened Everleigh with the promise of cocktails and checking out what happens when Justin Timberlake trades in his silky smooth vocals for sartorial notoriety. The answer was a fashionable function showcasing the singer and Trace Ayala’s clothing line, William Rast.
A mix of street chic, William Rast first gained buzz in the premium denim game before expanding to all levels of attire. Now, it’s a couture culture dream for the trend-setting, early adopter crowd.

Dozens upon dozens of Toronto’s finessed fashionistas posed about the event thrown by all-star PR firm Brill Communications, sipping on JD cocktails – we still can’t get over the apple-tinged mix with the Honey Brown – and snapping shots of the live models. (PS In unmodel-like behaviour, these walking mannequins were more than happy to flash a smile if the timing warranted.)
An introduction to the clothing line for us, and a reminder of the threshold of thread for those already in-the-know, the William Rast event provided a laidback yet luxe locale for the folly of fashion.
