Bloor-Yorkville is known for its luxurious fashion, impeccable style, and excellent craftsmanship, and now all of those things are coming together for a charitable cause. The first annual Couture For A Cause taps local designers and creatives to put together a one-of-a-kind fashion show to benefit an important national charity, all while looking good and showing off all the city has to offer.
About Couture for A Cause
“We are incredibly excited to host the first ‘Couture for a Cause’ event in our vibrant Bloor-Yorkville neighbourhood,” says Briar de Lange, Executive Director of the Bloor-Yorkville BIA. “This initiative not only highlights the artistic talents within our community but also supports a crucial cause—mental health awareness.”
The event will take place on Wednesday, August 1 at the Village of Yorkville Park, located at 115 Cumberland Street. The red carpet will begin at 5 p.m., with scheduled programming running from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Couture for a Cause will feature “six leading hair stylists from Yorkville, six global fashion brands, and over sixty models on an outdoor catwalk. The 2024 Yorkville Fashion Show promises a world-class fashion and beauty spectacle, uniting Toronto’s fashion, beauty, and luxury sectors in a celebration of style and a collective effort to support and raise funds for CAMH mental health initiatives and programs,” according to the press release.
