We know you can’t make it out to every party, every single night but we don’t want you to miss a thing! Live vicariously through us as we give you insider access and take you to some of Toronto’s most notable events.
A world without poetry would be like a world without color… there’s an inexplicable emotional capacity found in words that connect us and lets us feel all those #feels. Griffin Poetry Prize recipients, Norman Dubie (International Winner) and Liz Howard (Canadian Winner), did just that with their respective books of poetry “The Quotations of Bone” and “Shaking Tent.”
In an effort to encourage and revitalize the poetry community, The Griffin Poetry Prize Gala, gathered us together at the Fermenting Cellar in Distillery for an awards ceremony unlike any other. The night featured food, drink and readings, not to mention acceptance speeches that sure didn’t put us to sleep!
