The Brewer’s Plate celebrated its 7th year this past Wednesday. A locavore feast of Ontario craft brewers, chefs and artisans, The Brewer’s Plate funnels all of its proceeds back into the community, supporting sustainable food and farming charities across the province.
This year’s beneficiary was The Friends of the Green Belt Foundation – a non-profit, grant-making organization working to strengthen the natural resources and cultivators of the world’s largest greenbelt.
“The future lies increasingly in regional self-reliance all over the world, with local living economies trading fairly, useful, durable goods, food, and good low-carbon ideas,” reads The Brewer’s Plate mandate.
