Last night, Nobu Toronto opened its doors to the who’s who and media alike for a first look at their sparkling new digs. This Nobu Toronto restaurant is hands down one of the most anticipated restaurant openings of the year, in Canada, if you will. And finally, everyone in attendance got a chance to take a closer look at the immaculately finished product. Although a tad overdue, it only built up even more anticipation. But let us tell you, it did not disapoint. Studio Munge nailed those renderings because it looked exactly as the painted picture we were all hoping hor.
The room rapidly filled with the cream of the crop of Toronto’s most elite, media, socialites and local strategic partners. Coming together across every inch of room in the space, from the main floor bar area, to the second floor dining room, mezzanine seating area, sake bar and outdoor patio, and even a look at their stunning setups in the private dining areas the restaurant has to offer.
Here’s a closer look at the Nobu Toronto media preview party, ahead of the official opening on August 6th:
The who’s who came out to play…
Canadian made uniforms: Nobu Toronto x Dorian
VIP guests in attendance also had a first look at the Nobu Toronto team’s meticulously designed new uniforms. Which were beautiful done by the CAFA award-winning Toronto-based, Tehran-born designer, Dorian Who. Who’s website states that, “Growing up in Iran, fashion was always a gateway for her to freely express herself in a restricted environment. Moving to Canada gave her freedom of expression and many opportunities, ultimately inspiring her to start DORIAN WHO in 2018.”
We cannot wait to hear more about the collaboration between Nobu Toronto and Dorian Who, said to be announced in the coming week or so. Stay tuned.
