And this hotel in the city is joining the growing list with its own rooftop patio in Toronto. The opening of W Toronto has been long anticipated for a lot of reasons, not in the least because of its outdoor dining destination. Luckily, you don’t have to wait much longer, because doors are slated to open next week.
New W Toronto rooftop patio, SKYLIGHT, to open it’s doors in Toronto
Known as SKYLIGHT, the patio has been referred to by the hotel as, “an enchanting rooftop hideaway”. Those dining at the rooftop space will be soak in the views of Bloor Street in all its glory. The menu is set to include dishes inspired by coastal flavours, while the space is also expected to have a Mediterranean-inspired raw bar.
Both W Toronto and SKYLIGHT are welcoming guests starting from July 21. A theme of greenery and nature vibes has been maintained, along with the option of both indoor and outdoor seats.

The rooftop patio in Toronto isn’t the only notable thing that one can expect at the hotel. It’s additionally going to be home to a restaurant called Public School, with plant-forward items on the menu. Fitness facilities, event spaces, a lobby with a DJ booth, and more are some of the available features.
Creatives can take advantage of the hotel as well, thanks to something called a ‘W Sound Suite’ for studio recordings.
The prices for the rooms start at $500+ per night with higher rates for some specific suites. The W Hotel was initially planned for a 2020 open but was forced to delay the date due to the pandemic.
