With burgers being such a staple in Canada, the number of burger joints in the country does not come as a surprise. While there are many in Toronto itself, there are still quite a few popular ones on the west end of the country that haven’t made their way over yet. However, one popular California joint is finally coming to Toronto, making it the first location in the city.
About Fatburger in Toronto
Since its first Canadian opening in 2005, the chain has already gone on to have 60+ locations in Western Canada. The premium burger joint sells burgers made with fresh beef that’s hand-pressed on the grill. The meat is also free from additives while being certified as halal exclusively in Ontario.
“We simply focus on making delicious food of higher quality for our customers. We use AAA Canadian beef and premium Canadian chicken, and we don’t pre-cook our food or store them in steamers like a lot of other brands,” Raymond Ho, VP of Marketing, said in a press release statement.

The Fatburger location in Toronto is opening on March 9 at Bloor Street West and Bathurst Street. The 1,300 sq ft restaurant will have lunch and dinner options. This includes Original Fatburgers, specialty burgers, chicken sandwiches, their world-famous buffalo wings & tenders, and its Best Anywhere Milkshake.
Fatburger first opened in 1952 in California. The popularity led to the development of Fatburger Canada, which is Canadian-owned and operated.
