Oliver & Bonacini certainly left its mark high above The Well, as the oasis in the clouds showcases “a luxuriously appointed cocktail bar, impressive sushi counter, and an expansive open-air terrace set to launch this spring,” according to the press release. The fine dining establishment tapped Chef Anthony Walsh, known for his work at Canoe, to spearhead the food program.
Chef Walsh is also joined by Chef Binit Pandey, who will become the Executive Chef at Aera after a stint at Oliver & Bonacini Café Grill, Yonge & Front. The menu the duo designed features a pb & j foie gras, garlic escargots, a raw bar with caviar, rigatoni, broiled sable fish and a massive selection of steaks, loins and chops.

Aera’s cocktail list is just as delicate and elevated, with options like the Aera Manhattan, a French 75, a Roku Highball and a Penicillin. There’s also a Prestige Cocktail section, which includes premium handcrafted cocktails named Le Concorde, the Airmail and the Jalisco Sunset which are made with high-quality, higher-priced spirits. A huge selection of beers, wines and non-alcoholic options is also available.
The 38-storey feat is open for dinner Monday through Saturday, with seating in both the cocktail bar and the restaurant. It will also feature DJ nights from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and will be open for lunch on Sundays. Aera is located inside The Well at 8 Spadina Avenue on the 38th floor.
