Now that we’re all cleared to travel again in many parts of the world, it’s time to finally reconfigure how we pack. I am a self-confessed over-packer but trust me, I’m working on it. While I try my hardest to plan outfits in advance, and stop myself from changing my mind last minute, I simply can’t predict what my skin might need while I’m travelling. I always end up packing a crazy arsenal of makeup products, skincare essentials, and a variety of hairsprays, frizz tamers, and more. One thing I have gotten better at is ensuring that I only pack the travel sized versions of the beauty products I know and love. While it might sound silly to be doubling up and purchasing products you already have, it makes perfect sense to do if you plan on being a frequent-flier.

Dermalogica Mini Daily Micro Foliant
One of the best exfoliators on the market is this one from Dermalogica. The mini size is so lightweight and because you only use a little bit at a time, it’ll last you a while. Simply mix with a little bit of water, apply in circular motions until it’s foamy, and rinse off and you’re good to go. I like to mix mine with my cleanser because not only does it give you a deeper clean, but it’s two skincare steps in one!
fresh Mini Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence
Similar to a toner, an essence stems from the Korean skincare world and it helps protect the skin against pollution, helps hydrate and keeps it supple. It might seem like an unnecessary step to your routine, but hear me out. In addition to the calming scent, it feels like a little spa treatment when you apply it with your hands and pat it gently into the skin. Simply allow it to dry and continue on with your routine.
Charlotte Tilbury Mini Hollywood Flawless Filter
A cult-fave beauty product, the Hollywood Flawless Filter is a mainstay in my beauty arsenal. I apply it around my face with my concealer and blend everything together. The result is lit-from-within skin that’s gorgeously glowy. This travel sized version is lighter than the full size so it’s perfect to pack for a getaway.
Neostrata Pure Hyaluronic Acid Biocellulose Mask
I love a good face mask. For some reason, I rarely use sheet masks when I’m at home. I save them for travel and the one I’ve been reaching for lately is this Pure Hyaluronic Acid Mask from Neostrata. It’s affordable (very important) and it’s not goopy, doesn’t drip, and leaves my skin feeling like it’s received a huge drink of water. Everything you need after a day of travel! Plus, sheet masks are travel sized all on their own. Perfect to slide into your makeup bag without taking up a ton of space.

amika Not So Basics Travel Set
It’s no secret that heavy hair products weigh a suitcase down like nobody’s business. If you can’t go without essentials like dry shampoo, detangler, volumizing spray, and a hair mask, then this set is for you. It all comes in a super cute little zip-up toiletry bag and its bright colour means it’ll be easy to spot in your suitcase. Plus, with each product coming in under 3.4 oz, you can even pack it in your carry-on if you’re trying to avoid checking a bag.
The U Beauty Duo
Travel sized skincare can still pack a major punch. This duo from U Beauty includes the brand’s Resurfacing Compound that visibly resurfaces the skin’s appearance without irritation. It also comes with the SUPER Hydrator which keeps the skin hydrated for up to 48 hours thanks to how it delivers long-chain hyaluronic acid. The result is mega hydrated and refreshed skin.
