Barn Nightclub, a centre for hot nights and hedonism in the Gay Village, has thanked its patrons for five fabulous years as its time has iced over. Now officially shut down, it remains yet to be seen whether new occupant, The Marquis of Granby will brandish a more steady stream of ale loving adults as they get set to open this summer, according to their Facebook page. Claiming on their window sign, at 418 Church Street, to be purveyors of fine pub fare and drink, perhaps it’s the perfect opportunity for a pub to pop-up around the nearby Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Maple Leaf Gardens.
