Serving Up authentic Latin Cuisine with a modern Twist
Located in the busy King West neighbourhood, Baro Toronto is a perfect fit for the neighbourhood. Its upbeat and fun vibe, paired with a delicious menu is sure to keep you coming back. We’ve put together this VIBE review to make your experience at Baro simple, and fun.
The Eats
Brunch
Whether you’re doing a post-workout brunch with your girlfriends or taking your in-laws out for a Sunday meal, Baro should definitely be on your list. Their menu is extensive with delicious options, that include shareable or single portions.
If you’re going in hungry we recommend the Eggs Benny Blanco. That’s poached eggs, pan de queso, bacon, tabasco hollandaise and side greens! Don’t like poached eggs? Don’t worry! They prepare all their eggs fried, poached or scrambled and you can pick how soft or hard.

For something a little sweeter, try the pancakes. You get three hotcakes, a ripe plantain, queso fresco, guava, honey and maple syrup for $15. If you’re coming with a group, order these as a side for the table, trust us you won’t regret it.
Dinner
Baro is the perfect place to go to for a night out on the town. Regardless of whether you make it a stop on your list of events on King St. or your main destination, it is sure to be the highlight of your night. The dinner menu offers a ton of mouth-watering choices, so we’ve narrowed down our favourites for you.
The Big Ass Steak is a massive 32oz roasted bone-in ribeye. If that sounds filling to you already, just wait because it comes with chimichurri and your choice of any 2 sides. Maybe for this one bring a friend or date to split it with.
One of our all-time favourites is the chicken fajita. Filled with peppers, onions, tomato, sour cream, cheddar cheese, all wrapped in 8 tortillas, these fajitas are delish.

Don’t Forget Dessert…
Churros, churros, churros! It doesn’t get any better than that. Try Baro’s infamous dessert because there is no better way to wrap up a night than with some crunchy, cinnamony, hot churros filled with spiced chocolate sauce or dulce de leche.
The Drinks
Baro Toronto offers a variety of wines, beers and classics, but the real treat is the speciality cóctels. The handcrafted cocktails are so unique and tasty that you’ll want to go back to try them all.
The La Tahona is tequila reimagined. It’s tequila, mezcal, lime, grapefruit, habanero shrub topped with chilli salt. Now I’m not saying that you have to Instagram this drink, but you would be giving up quite the opportunity.
Keeping the drinks flowing, Baro’s Drunk in Love cocktail, topped with a slice of watermelon, is not only aesthetically pleasing, but it also tastes even better than it looks. The vodka, watermelon, cucumber, mint and lime make a drink so refreshing, you might want to start a tab.
The Looks
As far as looks go, Baro is hitting all of the marks. Exposed wood is illuminated with warm lights, for a cosy, homey feel. Live musical fills the second floor, and the DJ is always ready to get the party going.

The rooftop patio is always a hotspot, with beautiful views of the city. Surrounded by barstools and greenery, the place makes you forget you’re on one of the busiest streets in the city. Overall, Baro checks off all the boxes when it comes to design and decor.
The VIBE
For a Saturday brunch with the girls or a Friday night out with the boys, Baro has a lot to offer. Particularly, good food, great drinks and an even better time. The place is always hustling and if you’re from the city you’re sure to bump into someone you know. If a restaurant could be your cool, easy-going older cousin, this would be it.
