It seems as if red is the colour on everyone’s lips—and apparently eyes—this season. Red shades are proving to be more than just a one-trick pony, effectively invading all areas of the beauty world. While nothing can top a classic red lip, red eye makeup has put in the bid as a show-stopping contender.
We can’t deny that rocking red requires a certain degree of bravery, as red hues aren’t exactly known for their subtly, but there are a variety of shades and ways to apply to suit each individual need. Plus, red can provide a much needed dose of vibrancy to the often dull winter days.

While a little celebrity inspiration can be great, Pat McGrath, interviewed for Refinery29, suggests a way to make the look wearable for us common folk, by combining a red eye shadow with a deep purple to pull off the look with a little less drama.
For evening….
