Unique experiences and locations are a huge part of what draws me to just about anything! There’s something about engaging in custom creations, sipping on wine, and indulging in delicious treats that really speaks to me. Add some makeup playtime, a beautiful sun-filled loft in which 30 guests can accommodate – this becomes a clear no-brainer. Am I right?

The Product

The Toronto Lip Lab by Bite Beauty is where I go when I need that perfect tinted pout, and none of my usual lipsticks will do. Mixing pigments to your heart’s content and adding that final delectable fragrance to seal the deal, leaves anyone coming back for more – every single time. The moment I found out Bite Beauty had a private event space, I almost fell off my chair. Ok, maybe not that dramatic, but it definitely got my creative, and logistical juices flowing.

Custom lipstick is an additional charge per person where you’re provided with a multitude of pigments to choose from, a beautiful fragrance for your lipstick, an engraved lid, and complete lip care kit including: a lip scrub, lip primer, and lip mask. If this is your new favourite colour, I have even better news; you’ll receive your custom formula card so once you return, you’ll be able to have it duplicated. Gone are the days of your favourite stick being discontinued!

The Space

The genuine, well-informed, artistic team in what is the sweetest, airy loft on the second floor, with a very welcoming outdoor patio, is the perfect feminine mecca. It is the spot to host team building, client/staff-appreciation, workshops, and corporate events. On the social side; bachelorette parties, birthdays, or any other reason you could dream up for your 30 closest guests. Their hourly rental fee includes wine service, macarons, staffing, exclusive use of the entire second floor, as well as an extremely flattering selfie light to help you show off those vibrant lips.

With Nadège Patisserie being Bite Beauty Toronto’s purveyor of macarons (my personal favourite), makes the appeal of this luxury rental service all that more desirable.

The Experience

When it comes to finding a space suitable for an event that offers more than the usual, I jump on it. We’re living in a world longing for an experience, something different than the everyday, and here we have it. A venue that celebrates our individuality, creativity, and provides a location to elevate our inner goddess while sharing it alongside a small intimate bunch. The funny thing about using a space and service like Lip Lap, is it almost makes you feel like you’re just reconnecting with old friends; sharing stories, and a supportive team to lift one another up. I don’t know what it is about putting a bunch of women into a room together, but just like that, we’re one another’s cheerleaders. The term “Girl Power” comes to mind.

I love promoting our local Toronto brands, and Bite Beauty is no different. Founded in Toronto in 2011, the Lip Lap by Bite Beauty made its Canadian debut in 2016 after first opening their Lip Lab in SoHo, New York in 2013.
