Being an entrepreneur is no walk in the park. Contrary to the glamour and glitz you see on social media, the reality is that entrepreneurship comes with long hours, tough decisions and plenty of sacrifices. In fact, most businesses fail within the first 3 months. This is because of a lack of funding or the founders simply not knowing how to grow, market, and build. Yes, there’s a lot involved in starting a business and making it successful, but what if we told you there’s a program in Toronto that not only gives you the tools to succeed but gives you the opportunity to obtain the funding you need to make it all happen?
Enter the Masters of Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship (MEIE) at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU). Take it from Tyler and Braden Handley of the popular company Ink Box who appeared on the Gent’s Talk podcast to talk about the role TMU played in supporting their multi-million dollar company.

Considering the sizeable awards available, students can not only have most, if not all, of their expenses, covered, they may even be able to find additional funding support for their new venture through the various zones.
Incubator
