Your morning and after-work commute just got a little cheaper! Uber has recently introduced a new program that’ll save you major bucks on daily rides.
We all hate that dreaded Uber notification… that little message indicating that it’s busy as f**k, meaning that on top of sitting in traffic you’re now going to have to pay more. Well, the good news is, you can now avoid price surges simply by using uberPool.
The good people at Uber have decided to start a flat rate system. Starting today (August 16th), uberPOOL rides will now be $6 flat during morning and evening rush hours. The change in price is geared towards customers who need to get downtown or from downtown during the busiest times of the day.

The map below shows the area that uberPOOL will be offering flat rates:
Flat rates will be offered Monday to Friday between 7-10AM and 4-9PM. Uber also stated that the more frequently users choose to carpool, the longer the $6 flat rate will be in place (remember sharing is caring!).
