A big Whoop Whoop to our men’s Canadian hockey team on the win against team USA in the semi-finals (but was there really ever any doubt?)! Creaming the rival team with the score (1-0), Canada will advance to the finals to compete for the shiny gold against Sweden on Sunday, February 21, 2014 at 7am.
To watch the game in true Canadian spirit, Toronto’s City Council is allowing all restaurants and bars to open and serve alcohol from 7am. Yep you read that right. Beer at 7am in Toronto. Woah. While this temporary allowance is available all weekend, we expect most will only be opening on the Sunday for the big game. So set your alarm, get Sunday Funday started early and take advantage of the rare offer. Be a true Canuck hockey fan and watch the most anticipated final of the 2014 Winter Olympic Games over some beers. Not that we’re encouraging drinking at 7am, but come on – beer and Canada kicking ass at the Olympics? Pretty sure we don’t need to twist your arm. #GoCanadaGo
