As places and business start to reopen all over the country, a lot of new precautionary measures will be needed to help Canadians feel comfortable and safe outside. And while the restaurant industry has taken quite a hit during the COVID-19 pandemic, it has also led to some unique creations. One such concept has been implemented by Box’d by Paramount Fine Foods -Canada’s first fully automated restaurant, which will be opening at 4 King St. W this month.
With Chef Tomer Markovitz at the helm, the menu will feature recipes for lunch and dinner, including a variety of vegan and vegetarian options. Each items have sustainable packaging and there are also express menu options that are accessible in just a few quick taps. This simplifies Middle Eastern cuisine while using new flavours and ingredient combinations from Chef Tomer.

Customers can place their order in advance via a mobile app or they can order at a digital kiosk in-store. There are digital status boards in the restaurant which will update customers when their order is ready and lead them to their pickup location.
This new digital restaurant concept ensures all meals are made fresh and quickly. By trading front of house order-takers for more chefs and a concierge team, Box’d is able to make it easier for customers to get their healthy meals, fast.
Menu items will feature Paramount Fine Foods’ famous hummus and traditional Middle Eastern flavours and spices in creative recipes by Chef Tomer. There is truly something for everyone from salads to Box’d hot dishes, delicious oven-baked wraps and refreshing smoothies.
