The non-alcoholic movement is going strong and gaining more traction, with many companies across the city and beyond offering flavourful options and mocktails for those who choose not to imbibe. Ceder’s, a new company offering distilled non-alcoholic spirits, is one of those brands taking the world by storm, winning awards and offering installations throughout the city.
About Ceder’s non-alcoholic spirits
Ceder’s takes non-alcoholic spirits to an even healthier level, offering beverages that are crafted with 15 different herbs and contain no sugar and no calories. There are four different flavour profiles, with each designed to bring a different set of tasting notes to cocktails.
The brand was originally founded in South Africa in 2017 by husband-and-wife duo Craig Hutchison and Maria Sehlstrom, but the brand recently made the hop to offer its spirits across the city and country.

With the entry into Canada complete, Ceder’s time in Toronto has produced a flurry of thoughtfully curated events, including a Botanical Tea Garden held at Famous Last Words that taught guests how to craft curated cocktail recipes generated by the brand. These events will increase in frequency as time goes on and, of course, the brand’s visibility grows.
A non-alcoholic recipe
Of course, the Botanical Garden class produced a ton of tasty recipes that are perfect for days spent on a patio or summer parties with friends. Sure, there are options like a non-alcoholic gin and tonic (which Ceder’s just launched in a can), but part of the fun is tasting the full-bodied concoctions that alcohol-free spirits can create.
Find some of our favourite recipes from the Ceder’s Botanical Tea Garden on the recipe cards below, and enjoy some refreshing, sweet and flavourful cocktails that are perfect for any kind of summer celebration. Each of these spices up the mocktail game and can be enjoyed all season long!
