On a beautiful Wednesday night, Nicki and I set out to meet foodie extraordinaire, Stella Yu of www.FoodJunkieChronicles.com in Yorkville. Oddly enough we weren’t headed to a foodie event, we were invited to Moroco Chocolat for a book launch party! Lindsey Kelk, a quirky British writer, was promoting her new book ‘The Single Girls to Do List.’
Not sure what to expect, we walked into a room filled with girls, food and FREE books. As we mingled we ran into the famous Valerie Stachurski aka ValTorontoGal, who introduced us to Lindsey Kelk herself. Lovely girl, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the book! That is until I saw the food…. The buzz around the room was that nobody could leave without trying the TRUFFLE Mac and cheese – and WOW. That wasn’t the only tasty treat on the menu… banana chocolate spring rolls, macaroons, and lots of Proseco! The vibe was very romantic but upbeat at the same time. It being my 1st time at Moroco Chocolat, I thought it to be like a candy store for adults.
What began as an uncertain night turned out to be a lot of fun. This vlog is a mix between a book launch party and an effort to show off Moroco’s yummy finger foods. Hope you enjoy my first attempt at an Eye on the Vibe vlog!
