And to honour the occasion, Celebrate Toronto is pulling out all the stops and you can join in on the festivities too.
Celebrate Toronto’s 190th anniversary
The Celebrate Toronto – City’s 190th Anniversary festival will take place on March 9 at Nathan Philips Square. There are going to be quite a few things for attendees to check out as part of the celebrations for this major milestone.
With local bands, and DJs on the live music stage, you’ll get a chance to see some unique homegrown talent. Local businesses are among the many important aspects that make up the city. So of course, there’s a ‘Toronto Made Market’ on site. The 6,000-square-foot marketplace will have locally crafted goods from 100+ local vendors.

It’s not a massive celebration without honouring The 6ix’ culinary landscape. The event will feature a variety of food stalls with different dishes, treats, and beverages. The cool and wintery outdoors means you can also grab your skates for a skating session on the rink.
Nathan Philips Square will also have a series of interactive art installations throughout, and there will be a ‘Wall of Wishes’.
