When Janet Zuccarini is involved, you just know that there’s a new culinary establishment you have to check out. After all, the hospitality group Gusto 54 is the one behind some of the most beloved spots in the city, including Gusto 501, Gusto 101, and Trattoria Nervosa. Another one to the roster? Café ZUZU. Much like many of Zuccarini’s other dining places, this too is going to be an Italian one.
Here’s what to expect
ZUZU has Italian pastries, special drinks, a co-working space and even a restaurant. Some of the treats you can expect are cornetto, bambolini, biscotti, and sandwiches. As for the coffee, the space will have an espresso (Italian blend) and drip coffee that’s made in-house.
The soft launch was today and as part of the celebration, ZUZU gave away free coffee and tea to the first 555 guests! Why 555 you ask? In honour of the cafe’s address, which is 555 Dundas Street East. The launch is from 8 am to 12 pm so you might want to be there bright and early.
