Veronica Beard’s first Canadian store located right here in Toronto is officially open! The brand celebrated the occasion with an opening party at Parc Ave. If you don’t know Veronica Beard was founded by sisters-in-law Veronica Miele Beard and Veronica Swanson Beard (and yes they married brothers). Their goal was to transform the daily uniform and create clothing for women on the go. The brand was born with the Dickey jacket a reinvention of a closet staple: the blazer. A dickey is a sleeveless shirt or sweater that can be layered underneath a jacket giving your overall look a different appearance without making the person feel bulky. Their jackets have an interior zipper that allows you to insert different dickies.
The event included a dinner curated by celebrity chef Cory Vitiello and music from Canadian singer-songwriter Dragonette. Attendees included Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha, influencers including Sasha Exeter, Grece Ghanem, Valeria Lipovetsky, and Toronto socials including Caroline Mulroney, Colette van den Thillart, Rana Florida, Rochelle de Goias, Roxy Earle, Bernadette Morra and more to celebrate the brand’s first standalone store in Canada. Of course, guests arrived in Veronica Beard’s Spring 2023 collection while they chatted over cocktails.
