This also allows chefs and culinary experts to collaborate to come up with unique creations. A collaboration that’s going to get culinary buzz features are Chef Nuit Regular from Kiin and Chef Eva Chin from The Soy Luck Club. That’s right, the two are hosting a special dinner in celebration of the Lunar New Year in Toronto.

This first-time collaboration will bring to the table a blend of cultures. Guests can enjoy cuisine with Chef Nuit’s expertise and Neo-Chinese with Chef Eva’s unique dishes. The dinner collaboration will also explore Chef Nuit’s Dai ancestry. The Dai people are an ethnic minority group based in Yunnan Province, China, with close ties to several neighbouring countries including Thailand.
The six-course menu aims to spotlight a special take on traditional Chinese dishes with Thai flavours. It’s on February 12 at Kiin, located at 326 Adelaide Street West.

“Thai cuisine has always been heavily influenced by Chinese immigrants, and I am excited to bring these two cultures together in my kitchen,” Chef Nuit said in a press release statement.
“We hope to bring joy, unity, and a gastronomic adventure to the Lunar New Year celebration at Kiin,” Chef Eva also said in the statement.
The ticket price is $168 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). This also comes with a welcome cocktail and canapés. The cocktail reception is at 6 pm and dinner starts at 7 pm. Tickets can be purchased online on the website. Not just that – but a portion of the proceeds will go to support a Chinese village in Pai, Thailand.
