Good news, The Mindy Project fans: we won’t have to stream in low-quality after all! Or, as Mindy Kaling tweeted, “Hey b*tches, the bi-coastal babe is back. #itshappening”.
It’s not necessarily “exclusive” to Canadians, but you get the point – after being dropped by Fox and stirring up a frenzy amongst fans, CityTV swooped in and announced that The Mindy Project will continue to be aired in Canada on their channel. And how couldn’t they? For those who watched the season three finale, what was up with that ending?! Major cliffhanger!

Fox dropped the show due to low ratings, but it will still be available to Americans through Hulu, an online streaming service only available in the United States.
The Mindy Project documents the quirky and crazy life of Mindy Lahiri (Kaling), a young OB/GYN working in New York City. This rom-com mainly focuses on her relationships with various men, both in and outside her practice, and how she attempts to balance her professional and love life.
The show parallels with Kaling’s real life, with inspiration from the relationship between Lahiri and Jamie (B.J. Novak) for example. Kaling and Novak have reportedly written a book about their relationship, of which the release date will be announced on May 30th at New York’s BookCon.
