All-Star Weekend in Toronto may have come and gone, but a local-born superstar certainly left his mark – both on the city and one particular wellness brand. Connor McDavid took home a cool $1 million for winning the NHL’s All-Star Skills Competition, edging out all-world competition in Cale Makar, Nathan MacKinnon and Mathew Barzal, as well as Toronto Maple Leafs like Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and William Nylander. And we might just have an idea where some of that money went: Alo.
A look inside Connor McDavid’s shopping spree
The hockey superstar posted photos to his Instagram story revealing he was shopping at the upscale wellness studio. Was he looking for his red carpet looks, something for a casual weekend uniform or something in between? Either way, if you want to have style like the NHL’s brightest star, we can offer some insight. According to an anonymous source close to the situation, McDavid opted for the Conquer hooded long-sleeve, a half-zip jacket in a bone hue, and a slim jogger with horizontal double zippers.
His pre-red carpet shop at Alo turned a lot of heads, and so did his one-ice performance. After his shop, McDavid headed to the red carpet for the All-Star festivities, where he was a team captain for the games on Saturday and won the skills competition on Friday, competing in challenges like the fastest skater, obstacle course and a passing route.

The events wrapped up on Sunday night, and McDavid returned to his team, the Edmonton Oilers, following the competition. The Newmarket native will spend the rest of the season fighting for a playoff spot with the Oilers, and then push for a Stanley Cup when the postseason begins in April. He’ll also return to Toronto at the end of March to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll see him sport some Alo Men attire in that time.
