Grab a craft brew and a couple of bites and bask in (what will hopefully be) the summer sunshine at Evergreen Brick Works this Friday for the first ever CraveTO event. A chance to showcase local gourmet food trucks, craft breweries and Toronto DJs, CraveTO will have local gastronomes in La-La Land.
Toronto’s newest outdoor street festival will be featuring food trucks by the likes of Buster’s Sea Cove, Come and Get It, Feisty Jack, Fidel Gastro, Food Dudes, For the Love of Cake, Jumbo Empanadas, Pancho’s Bakery, Rome’n Chariot, Seven Lives Tacos and This Is How I Roll. Just like their food, saying their names all in one breath is quite the mouthful.

The feeling of CraveTO, according to event coordinator Stev Baycetich is, “to represent a movement towards the spirit of discovery that defines Toronto life.” Deciding to feature their favourite food trucks and breweries in a casual and social atmosphere will prove to be a perfect segue into the patio season.
With over 700 tickets already sold, the event is sure to heat up the summer snacking scene. A $16.50 entry fee will grant access to the venue and once inside all the nibbles will be on offer for $5 or less. Craft beer will run you $5 a wobbly-pop and will be served by Amsterdam, Black Oak, Cameron’s, Great Lakes, Kensington, Hogtown, Mill St., Nickelbrook, Spearhead and Wellington.
As you’re sipping on your suds and stuffing your maws you’ll be able to sway to the sounds of DJs Sumation, Sean Roman, Mike Gleeson and Bounce.
If you’re like us, you started to salivate a long time ago, so really, there’s only one thing left to do (after wiping up the drool pile on your table): get yourself a ticket to CraveTO and say hello to the summer food-fest season. 2013 is gonna be a foodie’s fantasy!
