Mistura’s former chef de cuisine Derek von Raesfeld has something to raise a glass about, and so do we, it turns out. Von Raesfeld has just been named the new Executive Chef at Michael’s on Simcoe. Although the news will only be officially announced in a couple weeks, View The Vibe was lucky enough to get the heads up from our friends at the Financial District hot spot.
At the beginning of 2013, Michael’s on Simcoe made our list of the Top 10 New Toronto Restaurants 2012, so we can only imagine what the addition of von Raesfeld to the restaurant will do for our tastebuds. The Italian steakhouse is already known for its exceptional meats and visually stunning presentation of the dishes, so start making reservations now. Bon appetit!
