We think you ought to take advantage of the prix fixe deals and indulge your appetite at some of Vancouver’s top rated hot-spots you’d normally save for a special occasion. Read on below and get ready to spoil your taste buds with our picks for best DOVF high-end bets. And then be saure to score yourself a coveted reservation….
Bacchus Lounge at the Wedgewood Hotel
Aside from its 4-Diamond rating, we love the Old World charm and atmosphere offered up at this cozy restaurant tucked off Hornby. With a Dine Out menu featuring items like parsnip and vanilla soup with compressed apple, wild boar and pistachio terrine, and steelhead trout with fingerling potatoes – it’s a culinary winner.
Joe Fortes Seafood & Chop House
Always one of our go-to spots when on the hunt for a fine dining fix, head to Joe Fortes during Dine Out Vancouver to get seriously spoiled. Indulge in their chilled seafood plate, and be sure to savour the New England clam chowder, prawn and clam linguine with house-made chorizo, or sockeye salmon with saffron barley risotto.

ORU at the Fairmont Pacific Rim
ORU at the Fairmont Pacific Rim is another pick if you’re looking to spoil yourself during Dine Out Vancouver (without breaking the bank). We’re a fan of the elegant space to begin with and even more so of their DOVF offerings, featuring West Coast-inspired cuisine. Bite into braised double ‘R’ ranch beef cheek, potato ricotta gnocchi, Pacific Rim nicoise salad, and more.
Chambar
Chambar a definite must for our upscale list of picks. Since reopening, this place has seen a steady flow of traffic – and for good reason. Chambar harnessed the perfect mix of ambiance, top-notch service, and exquisite dishes. Their Dine Out Vancouver menu is no exception, featuring items like: soupe de canard, trio de porc, coquilles St. Jacques ‘a la Bob,’ and more.
Market by Jean-Georges
Wow your taste buds and be sure to book a table during the festival at the Shangri-La’s signature restaurant, Market by Jean-Georges. Dine on items like scallop sashimi, beetroot salad, foie gras brûlée, and crunchy-roasted Pacific cod with glazed mushrooms.
Blacktail Florist
This Gastown gem boasts a refreshed yet refined feel that extends beyond the tastefully-chic space. With a new chef spearheading the menu, we’re excited to report that this has got to be one of our must-dos for Dine Out Vancouver. Predominantly West Coast focused, the menu is a treat and features poached chicken-barley risotto, cauliflower soup with apple butter, as well as hangar steak with fondant potatoes and thyme jus.
