We launched our Pride Toronto 2013 Guide yesterday, and we’re already a little too excited to break out some of our most exciting looks next week in the name of rainbows and free love. Hence why there’s no better time to talk about our latest obsession: Clinique A Different Nail Enamel nail polish for sensitive skin. Not only does this stuff come in cool colours like 70 Degrees and Sunny (bright yellow), Hula Skirt (a minty green) and Juiced Up (a pinkish orange), it’s also ophthalmologist tested, which means it doesn’t irritate skin or burn eyes when you’re applying it.
Clinique sent us seven different shades, but instead of trying them out one at a time, we got a little bit rainbow happy and put them on all at once. Sure, it gets you a few strange looks when you’re running your fingers through your hair ever so casually on the subway, but once you realize that you can point a different coloured nail in any direction depending on what finger you choose to grant pointing power to, it starts to feel a little bit Harry Potter magical, like your fingers are charged with super rainbow powers after a while… or maybe that’s just us. That said, rocking a rainbow on our nails may seem a little childlike to some, but it’s been strangely emotionally uplifting. Every time you look down, Wow! A rainbow! It’s definitely getting us in good spirits for Pride next week and all the boas, sequins and crop tops we plan on rocking. This is definitely understated compared to what we’re wearing to the parade, friends.

Sometimes, in all our quests to be more beautiful, we can forget that beauty products are really about having fun – giving a little pop of colour to the canvas that is our lives. Sure, that sounds dramatic, but it’s almost Pride, and Jinkx Monsoon, winner of the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, is going to be here, so we know we’re going to have to bring it next week. When you get here, Jinkx, we’ll be ready.
