The Launch of Lobos 1707 Tequila and Mezcal at the LCBO
Inspired by his ancestor of the same name, Founder and Chief Creative Officer Diego Osorio launched Lobos 1707 in 2020 with CEO and brand-builder Dia Simms alongside the legendary, LeBron James. The Lobos 1707 Tequila and Mezcal portfolio is made up of four ultra-premium offerings: Lobos 1707 Joven Tequila, Lobos 1707 Reposado Tequila, and Lobos 1707 Extra Añejo Tequila, all made from 100% blue weber agave harvested, distilled and bottled in Jalisco, and Lobos 1707 Mezcal Artesanal, made from espadin, distilled and bottled in Oaxaca. Lobos 1707 Tequila and Mezcal are influenced by both old and new world techniques, finished in Pedro Ximénez (PX) wine barrels for unique and elevated flavour profiles.

“Our goal with Lobos 1707 was to create a brand that encourages unity, legacy and authenticity,

…and the Canadian market is one that whole-heartedly embodies these core values,” said Osorio.
But, the Canadian connection for the tequila and mezcal brand doesn’t stop there. The Toronto Raptors’ Fred VanVleet is also one of the investors, along with Vinay Virmani, the CCO of UNINTERRUPTED Canada — which is also in partnership with Drake and LeBron James.
The brand also mentions in a press release that part of the Lobos 1707 vision is to bring inclusivity at the forefront.
The Star Studded Lobos 1707 Launch Party at Harbour Sixty Toronto
As part of the announcement, Lobos 1707 held a special event right here in our beloved city. Those in attendance included Founder and Chief Creative Officer Diego Osorio, and obviously LeBron James but of course, would it even be a party if The 6ix god himself wasn’t there? Drake not only showed up, but seen quite stoked to see the product now available in Canada (as seen in our hero photo). The Canadian artist was all in for the exciting launch, having also recently expressed his support for the brand with bring your own tequila at a recent lakers game against the Raptors in Toronto.
