IYKYK, Drake has a thing for Yorkville (formally known as the Bloor-Yorkville community)… Often seen frequenting the likes of Janet Zuccarini’s Nervosa, or INK Entertainment’s Sofia and Amal for dinner, or even Toronto’s most nostalgic Ice Cream Shop in the heart of it all, Summer’s Ice Cream. Where he rolls up with his squad in a sea of black SUVs… But most recently, we caught wind of his exclusive invite-only party Drake put on for his VIP circle celebrating his much anticipated album drop, Certified Lover Boy (also referred to as CLB) on the eve of it releasing September 3rd.

The evening sported a custom CLB (Certified Lover Boy) branded 4 course menu, put together by none other than Amal’s executive chef, Rony Ghaleb. Starting off with their Tabbouleh and Fattoush salads and dips, followed by Chicken Wings, Kibbeh, Amal’s Humus, and Truffle Rakakat–which if you have not tried, we HIGHLY recommend. Later followed by a branzino and shrimp platter, along side a tenderloin, pistachio kebab, and chicken tawok meat platter. We’re not droooling…you are. ???? Ended off with the chef’s selection of desserts. We’d put money on there being some of their delicious baklava on the menu for sure.

And would it even be a Drake party if there wasn’t a selection of top of the line spirits involved? Based on what we saw shared by INK Entertainment’s Master Mixologist, Nishan Nepulongoda on his Instagram stories (also known as Nish / @nish_sofia), there were only brown spirits involved but considering Drake’s recent expansion into bubbly, although unconfirmed, we’re quite certain there was likely some of his Mod Selection champagne to toast as well. But in terms of brown spirits, he had Virginia Black whisky, Don Julio 1942 (which seems to be nonexistent at the LCBO, but all over Toronto’s nightlife scene), and Hennessy, which you can get a closer look at in the video screen recordings of the stories down below.
But it didn’t stop there, in the video footage, there is a shot of Nish uncovering a bottle of Remy Martin’s “Crème de la Crème,” Louis XIII cognac, which appears to be their 50ml minim bottle, said to have been the parting gift for his special guests–valued at over $500 and also nonexistent on the LCBO website, and we couldn’t find it at stories right across Toronto (just to confirm the price).
Source: @Nish_Sofia on InstagramAlthough we were unable to confirm the guest list, we did confirm that Toronto’s very own Tyrone Edwards (also known as Mr 1 Love), was there (in a photo with Nish as shown in the video clips above), but he was also at his album release party at Toronto’s newest hotspot on the East end, Toronto Beach Club, where Tyrone shouted out Drake’s boys, Glizzy and Smiley, and we spotted a shot of NHL’s P.K. Subban, and Olmypic Snowboarder, Mark McMorris, hanging out with MARBL’s Peter Girges.
Drake also gave out CLB (Certified Lover Boy) branded condoms and did not cease to remind Tyrone to “stay safe tonight.” ????
