Summer is here, and that means patios are now open left, right, and centre. Summer in the city also means restaurants are testing and rolling out brand new summer menus for you to explore! Featuring fresh and vibrant ingredients such as cool cucumber, colourful heirloom tomato, and bright lime. Toronto’s restaurant scene is sure to impress
A great combination of all things summer is e11even. Owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and situated just east of the Air Canada Centre. On Friday nights, they host a live jazz band from 8:00 pm – 10:00 pm. We had the chance to check out their new summer features and can’t wait to share them with you!
You’re definitely going to want to sample their new summer inspired mains. Pictured below are 24hr marinated rib eye with slow roasted Vidalia onions and paprika pineapple, lamb chops with a Moroccan style yogurt sauce and pomegranate reduction, and their version of the fried chicken sandwich. It’s brined with maple syrup then sous vide to keep the moisture, marinated in buttermilk, espresso, and topped with coleslaw! If you don’t eat meat, check out the cured yellowfin tuna with a chipotle and smoked corn salsa. Or the Mediterranean salad with dry aged feta, extra virgin olive oil, sun-dried tomato tapenade and pumpkin seeds.
