And while there are some great restaurants for Brazilian delicacies in Toronto, they aren’t many. Thais Ferreira noticed this and opened up her own café and diner with foods that highlight the best of her heritage.

Where to find Brazilian delicacies in Toronto
Whether it’s things like pastries, sandwiches, or croquettes, chances are that you’ll find it at Ferreira’s café. Named as Girl From Ipanema Diner, the location specializes in all sorts of traditional eats from Brazil. They also have beverages and drinks that are made with the help of common Brazilian fruits.
The menu additionally features quiches and savoury pies. These come in flavours like leek, mushroom, pulled pork, shrimp, chicken, and more. Fair pastel is yet another delicacy, which is a Brazilian street fair favourite. These are sold from 12 pm at the diner, available as cheese, ground meat, chicken, and pizza.

Sweets get a dedicated section on the menu too. One of the main highlights is the brigadeirao, which is a dessert made from condensed milk, butter and cocoa powder. Another one is roulade, cake prepared in the shape of a cylinder.
Coconut egg custards, guava shortbread, and peanut praline are some of the other desserts available as well.
Girl From Ipanema Diner is located at 2400 Dufferin Street and they’re open every day except on Mondays.
